Just having a conversation and being listened to was invaluable
At the start I was feeling very stressed, frustrated, anxious, irritated and exhausted. Overall, feeling very unbalanced internally due to external stressors which I was not able to cope with. I’m happy to say that I now feel less of the emotions I felt at the start. I feel the opposite!
Els helped me find the encouragement to have an inquisitive approach to oneself by asking questions, journaling and being observant of one’s behavior with no judgment and point of learning. We did a number of exercises and while these were helpful, I believe that just having a conversation and being listened to in a neutral environment contributed the most. During the sessions, I was removed from the space and people that contributed to me feeling unbalanced. Being out in nature is one of the biggest positive aspects of the coaching approach.
I also learned to listen more to what I need and to be more mindful of my time and energy levels. I now plan my days and work, and communicate better my own boundaries and wishes.
